$10,000 funding to keep Brisbane communities safer
The Lord Mayor’s Safer Suburbs Grants program provides funding of up to $10,000 for eligible not-for-profit organisations that lease a facility from Brisbane City Council. The grants are designed to support projects that improve security and deter crime at community facilities. Applications close 8 September 2025, so get this while funding is available.

What projects can be funded?
According to Brisbane City Council guidelines, grants can support projects that deliver safety and security measures for community-leased facilities. Examples include:
- Installation of CCTV cameras to monitor activity and deter crime
- Alarm system installation
- Upgrades and maintenance of security systems to ensure reliability and compliance
Who can apply?
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be an incorporated not-for-profit organisation
- Lease their facility directly from Brisbane City Council
- Have Public Liability Insurance of at least $20 million
- Have no outstanding debts to Council and have met previous grant requirements
- Be financially viable and able to maintain the completed works
Important note: Foxtone Andy’s CCTV cannot apply on your behalf – applications must be submitted by the eligible organisation directly to Council.
