Secure Communities Partnerships Program – Local Councils Small Business Grant (SCPPLC)
Queensland’s $40M program to boost safety for small and family businesses
Grants to make businesses safer across Queensland
Safety isn’t luck. It’s built with smart security—and right now, it’s backed by government funding. The Secure Communities Partnerships Program (SCPPLC) is a Queensland Government initiative that funds councils to deliver critical safety upgrades—helping protect small and family businesses from crime while building confidence in local precincts.
From Round 1 funding wins to Round 2 opportunities, Foxtone Andy’s CCTV partners with councils and businesses to deliver security that keeps Queensland business precincts safe and thriving. Now is the best time to plan ahead. Our team of qualified technicians can design and implement tailored security solutions—including CCTV, alarms, and intercoms—that meet grant requirements and provide long-term protection for your business community.
What is the SCPPLC?
The Queensland Government’s Secure Communities Partnerships Program invests $40 million over two years to help councils enhance safety in commercial precincts.
- Round 1: $10 million funding available (closed 11 July 2025; results expected September).
- Councils could apply for up to two grants of $400,000 each for crime-deterrent infrastructure such as CCTV, alarm systems, and intercoms.
- Multiple rounds will run through to 2027, with Round 2 expected in early 2026.
This program is part of the Small and Family Business First Action Statement, aimed at creating safer, stronger business communities.
Eligible projects
The SCPPLC supports council-led infrastructure projects that improve safety in small business precincts. Eligible projects include:
- CCTV systems (digital, high-resolution, 25 fps, H.264 compression, ≥31-day storage)
- Intruder, duress, and trespass alarm systems
- Intercom systems
Projects must be located in publicly accessible precincts—such as main streets, shopping strips, malls, walkways, and community hubs—and directly benefit small businesses. Councils must also consult with community groups and Queensland Police Service (QPS) about local crime trends.
How Foxtone Andy’s CCTV helps councils prepare
With Round 2 on the way, early preparation is key. Foxtone Andy’s CCTV provides:
Compliance-ready technical expertise
Our qualified technicians understand the SCPPLC’s technical standards. We design CCTV, alarm, and intercom systems that fully meet grant specifications—covering resolution, storage, and system integration.
Grant-strengthening documentation
We prepare detailed project designs, scopes of work, and compliant quotes—essential for demonstrating need, readiness, and value in grant applications.
Installation & acquittal support
If funded, we deliver expert installation and assist with milestone reporting, providing before/after photos and compliance documentation to support council acquittal requirements.
Why this matters for councils & local businesses
Small and family businesses face real costs from theft, vandalism, and property damage—through higher insurance premiums, lost revenue, and community uncertainty. Council-led safety upgrades not only deter crime but also restore business confidence, attract customers, and strengthen entire precincts.
